Terms of Use

The rules of the road for using this website. Plain language, all sections.

Not a substitute for medical care
This website provides general information about substance-use treatment. Nothing here is medical advice and using this site does not create a doctor-patient relationship. If you are experiencing a medical emergency — including severe withdrawal symptoms, seizures, chest pain, or suicidal thoughts — call 911 immediately.

Effective date: June 6, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Believe Detox Center website (“Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Site.

1. No medical advice

The information on this Site is provided for general educational purposes only. It is not medical advice and is not intended to replace consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified provider with any questions about a medical condition.

Visiting this Site, calling our admissions line, or submitting a form does not establish a physician-patient relationship. That relationship begins only upon formal admission and clinical intake at one of our facilities.

2. Emergencies

This Site is not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger — including severe withdrawal, overdose, or suicidal thoughts — call 911 immediately. For mental-health crises, the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is also available 24/7.

3. Insurance verification

Insurance benefit verifications conducted via this Site are good-faith estimates based on information provided by your insurance carrier at the time of inquiry. Final coverage, deductible status, and out-of-pocket cost are determined by your carrier at the time of claim adjudication and may differ from the initial estimate.

You remain responsible for any portion of treatment cost not covered by your insurance, in accordance with the financial agreement signed at admission.

4. Intellectual property

All content on this Site — text, photographs, logos, layouts, and the underlying code — is the property of Believe Detox Center or its licensors, protected by United States and international copyright and trademark laws.

You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our written permission.

5. User conduct

When using the Site or contacting us, you agree not to:

  • Submit false, inaccurate, or misleading information — including in the insurance verification form;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Site or our systems;
  • Use the Site to transmit malicious code, spam, or unsolicited communications;
  • Use the Site in a manner that violates any applicable law or regulation.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Believe Detox Center and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this Site — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to this Site shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100), or the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under California law.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Believe Detox Center from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

8. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Site shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, conducted in Los Angeles County, California.

Either party may seek injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property rights or confidential information. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Site after a change indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
