Ways We Support Our Veterans here at Believe Detox
In a recent article by veteranaddiction.org, over 3.9 million veterans struggle with some form of substance use disorder or mental illness.
Here is the article if you are interested in seeing some additional numbers in their detailed report: https://veteranaddiction.org/resources/addiction-stigma/
This startling reality is why we at Believe Detox Center work hard everyday to support our Veterans.
Peer-Led Support and Veteran-focused Care
One way we help our veterans is by keeping Veterans who are successful in their own recovery journey on our team. It is extremely important to have someone who understands your journey through a similar lens to support you. Our Veteran Outreach Coordinator Chris, who is former active duty United States Air Force and someone who struggled with addiction in the past, but is now successful in their recovery journey is here to help you by advocating for your needs. Not just him, but our team is here to help you find resources you may need for your recovery journey ahead to help ensure your success.

That being said, our veterans also have access to a Veteran support line at (747)724-1757.
We understand that sometimes you need support right away, and we wanted to ensure that you could have someone to talk to and to help guide you to detox services if needed.
The National Veterans Training Institute recently put out in an article on the importance of our struggling veterans being able to connect with other veterans when in duress here:
